New Delhi: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Day, a big statement of Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi has come out. Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi said, “Operation Sindoor is a decisive victory. All this took place under the National Approach, where Army, Air Force, Navy and other government departments stood together. He said that today’s Indian Army is not only facing the current challenges, but we are regularly moving fast as a variable, modern and future-oriented power. Under this, a new All Arms Brigades are being formed as ‘Rudra’, which has been integrated into war -components such as Infantry, Mechanized Infantry, Armed Units Artillery, Special Forces and Anmand Ariel System. They will get specially designed logistics support and combat support. In this sequence, tight and deadly special forces units have been formed as ‘Bhairav’ Light Commando Battalians, which are ready to surprise the enemy on the borders. In every infantry battalion, the firepower has been increased manifold through drone platuns and ‘Divyastra Battery’ and Loiter Munition Batteries in Artillery.
Roads, bridges and networks are being prepared under dual use infrastructure in Ladakh itself: Army Chief
Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi said that Army Air Defense is being equipped with indigenous missile systems. We are fully prepared to make India dream of ‘developed India’ till the 100th independence anniversary. Our biggest strength in this nation building is our huge military family, which is a community of about 1.3 crore people. This includes the family serving soldiers, their families, vetters, and the family of the soldiers received by Veeragati. Ladakh is an example of this. Where thousands of soldiers are deployed, there are many Veterans. The army is not only protecting, but is also playing a leading role in nation building in the border areas.
He said that roads, bridges and networks are being constructed under dual use infrastructure in Ladakh, which ensure basic facilities for both army and local citizens. Development works are going on priority by the Indian Army in the selected villages under the Vibrant Village Program. To promote border tourism, work is being done in areas such as Batterfield, Spiritual Ecological, Heritage and Adventure Tourism, providing employment to the youth.
Army is making local youth self -reliant
Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi said that the army is making local youth self -sufficient by training them in tour guides, mountaineering and adventure sports. Army communication towers are being used to deliver mobile networks to Ladakh and other remote areas under the Smart Borders initiative. The army is playing an important role in relief and rescue operations during the natural disaster.
He said that our veterans, your contribution is our strength. Even though you have removed the uniform today, but your passion and dedication to the nation is equally invaluable today.
