Saira’s box office storm will be heavy on Sardar 2, a tough challenge in front of Ajay Devgan’s film
The challenges for the producers of the film ‘Son of Sardar 2’, starring Ajay Devgan, who are going to knock in theaters on August 1, seem to be increasing. The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 25, but the box office performance of ‘Saira’ released on July 18 forced the makers to change their strategy. ‘Syara’ started pulling the audience to theaters from the first show, due to which ‘Son of Sardar 2’ was slipped a week further so that he could get enough shows and viewers.
Unmatched performance of ‘Saira’ continues
‘Saira’ is an unexpected that ‘Saira’ has rocked at the box office. The film’s performance has been excellent in the second week too. Crossing the mark of Rs 250.75 crore in just 10 days shows the tremendous success of ‘Saira’. Interestingly, the second Saturday collection of the film was better than the first Saturday, which is a proof of its strong hold among the audience. Of course, in the third week, the speed of ‘Saira’ may slow down, but despite this it seems to be overshadowing ‘Son of Sardar 2’. In such a situation, it is natural to arise whether the decision to pursue ‘Son of Sardar 2’ will prove to be right for him?
‘Son of Sardar 2’ lacks craze
Amidst the storm of ‘Saira’, there is no special craze in the audience regarding ‘Son of Sardar 2’. The first trailer of the film did not like the audience as much, and even though the second trailer was strong, it did not pay any attention to the noise of ‘Saira’. This situation is worrying for ‘Son of Sardar 2’, especially when it has to compete with a film that is already the first choice of the audience.
What will fade star power too?
‘Son of Sardar 2’ has many well-known artists including Ajay Devgan, Mrinal Thakur, Ravi Kishan. Ajay Devgan’s previous film ‘Red 2’ performed brilliantly at the box office and proved to be a hit. Despite this, facing ‘Saira’ can prove to be a major challenge for ‘Son of Sardar 2’. ‘Saira’ has a tremendous craze among the audience and it will not be easy for Ajay Devgan’s film to break this strong hold.
Given the current circumstances, it is a question for the makers of ‘Son of Sardar 2’ that it would be better to further the release of the film? Given the continuous success of ‘Saira’ and the low enthusiasm of the audience towards ‘Son of Sardar 2’, avoiding the box office conflict can be a sensible step. However, now the possibility of pursuing the film forward is very less. It will be interesting to see how Ajay Devgan and his team deal with this challenge and will ‘Son of Sardar 2’ be able to meet expectations. At the moment, it seems that Saira will be heavy on the first week of Sardar 2 even in the third week.
