In the basement of an under-construction building at Sector 37-C in Gurugram, four people hanged a migrant laborer with sticks. The police gave this information on Tuesday. Police said that the laborer from Rajasthan used to run the JCB machine and was accused of stealing electric wires. According to the police, the incident took place on 10 June and the case came to light when an alleged video of the beating broadcast on social media. The police have arrested four people seen in the video.

According to the police, the arrested accused have been identified as 39 -year -old Pushpendra, resident of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, 38 -year -old Ajit Singh, resident of Khark Kalan village of Bhiwani, 19 -year -old Krishna Kumar, resident of Khandoda in Rewari and 39 -year -old Amit Kumar, 39, resident of Khasa village in Amritsar. A spokesman for the Gurugram Police said, “During interrogation, it was found that all the accused work as a security guard in the building of the under construction society. The person he beat up, he worked as a JCB driver there.”
