In an interview to Deccan Chronicle on these allegations, Vijay Sethupati said, “Such allegations are a conspiracy to discredit my name.” Those who know me a little bit, they will laugh at it. These things bother my family and friends, but I tell them to let it go. The woman is doing this only to come into notice. Let him take his two -minute fame.
He said that such dirty rumors do not bother him at all. I have faced many such things in the last seven years. They have not been able to shake me yet and will not shake further.

Vijay described the time of the allegations as suspicious and said that it is probably related to the success of his latest film Thalaivan Thalaivi. My new film is doing well, and perhaps some jealous people think that I can harm me by defaming me.
