The Election Commission in Bihar has released a new voter list on Friday. It has been shared with political parties with DMs of all 38 districts. The new list has been published on the Election Commission website. The names of a total of 65 lakh voters in Bihar are cut off.
The new list has been prepared on the basis of voter verification campaign run from house to house run in the state.
If the voter complains about the name, removal or wrong information in the voter list, then they will get a chance to improve. Special camps will be set up from August 2 to September 1, 2025, where voters will be able to register their claims and objections.
Now know how many names have been removed in which district
1,45,913 names in Kishanganj not in list
About 1,45,913 total voters in the four assembly of Kishanganj are not named in the list. This includes voters named deceased, migrated, missing or duplicate (2-2).
Most of these, the names of 49,340 voters were cut from the voter list in Kishanganj assembly constituency. At the same time, the names of 29,277 voters were removed from the voter list in the lowest Thakurganj. At the same time, the names of 36,574 in Bahadurganj and 30,722 voters in Kochadhaman were cut from the voter list.
Out of a total of 12 lakh 31 thousand 910 voters of the four assembly Kishanganj, Bahadurganj, Kochadhaman, Thakurganj Assembly, 10 lakh 85 thousand 996 EFS forms have been submitted.
Names of 1.31 lakh voters cut in Saharsa
Saharsa had a total of 13,91,674 voters in 4 different assembly constituencies, but (SIR) has 12 lakh 60 thousand 78 voters after special intensive revision. The name of 1 lakh 31 thousand 596 voters is cut in this district.
79,551 voters’ names cut in Khagaria
Khagaria had a total of 12,16,202 voters earlier, which is now 11,36,651. The names of 79,551 are cut. New figures have been released in the four assembly constituencies.
2.73 lakh voters’ names cut in Saran
2,73,223 names in Saran district have been removed from the voter list. Earlier there were 31,34,108 voters, but after SIR, now 28,60,885 voters have not been prepared.
26, 256 voters named in Sheikhpura
Sheikhpura had 5,11,468 voters. There are now 4,85,212 voters left. The names of 26,256 voters have been cut in Sheikhpura. Out of 26,256 voters, 13015 voters are in Sheikhpura assembly constituency. While 130241 voters are in Barbigha assembly constituency.
Names of 87,645 voters cut in Buxar
Out of a total of 1,351,861 voters in Buxar, 87,645 names have been removed. Now the total number of voters is 12,64,216.
1 lakh 28 thousand 207 voters named in Supaul
Supaul earlier had 16,40,664 voters. There are now 15,12,457 left. A total of 1,28,207 voters have been named.
The names of a total of 2 lakh 44 thousand 612 voters have been cut in Bhagalpur.
Bhagalpur had a total of 24 lakh 414 voters earlier. Which has now come down to 21 lakh 55 thousand 802. The names of 2 lakh 44 thousand 612 voters have been cut in this district.
Names of 1,91,376 voters cut in West Champaran
West Champaran had earlier 27,60990 voters, but now a list of 25,69,614 voters has been prepared. The names of 1,91,376 voters have been cut in the district.
District Election Officer Kaushal Kumar in Darbhanga said that there were 30,03,167 voters in the district. In this, the names of 2 lakh 3 thousand 315 people have been cut from the voter list.
