India warns citizens in ireland: The Indian Embassy in Ireland has issued an advisory on Friday. It has recently expressed concern about the attacks on Indian citizens and Indian citizens around the capital Dublin. The embassy has advised all Indians to be vigilant and adopt security measures. Advisory states that the incidence of physical attacks on Indian citizens in Ireland has increased in recent times.

‘Avoid going to deserted areas’

The embassy reported that it is in touch with the Ireland officials regarding the issue. At the same time, all Indian citizens have been advised to be appropriately cautious for their safety and avoid going to deserted areas especially late at night. The Indian Embassy has also released its number 0899423734 and email cons.dublin@mea.gov.in for emergency contact. The advisory came after a brutal attack on an Indian on Parkhill Road in Dublin on 19 July. The Ireland police have started investigating the case.

Indian -origin Entrepreneur attacked

Recently an entrepreneur of Indian origin was attacked in Ireland. Santosh Yadav is a senior data scientist at YSAR Lab and Technology Gateway in Irish City Letterkeni. He wrote on his LinkedIn profile that he was constantly beaten on the head, face, neck, chest, hands and feet and left on the blowing pavement. In LinkedIn Post, Santosh Yadav said that he is not an alone attack. He claimed that racial attacks to target such “without provocation” in this European country are becoming common. He wrote, “After dinner, I was walking near my apartment when a group of six teenagers attacked me from behind.

Local community condemned

In a social media post, the Indian Embassy said, ‘The embassy is in touch with the embassy and his family over the recent attack on Indian citizen in Dublin. All necessary are being provided to them. Along with this, the embassy is also in touch with the concerned officials of Ireland. The local community condemned the racial attack and also staged a protest called ‘Stand Against Racism’ (solidarity against racism) and expressed support for migrants.
