Rajiv told that these actors are none other than Chunky Pandey. He told that he wanted to cast Chunky Pandey in one of his superhit films, but the actor did so much for 1-2 lakhs that Rajiv Rai changed his mind. The director told that he wanted to cast Chunky Pandey in his superhit film ‘Tridev’.
1-2 lakh affair out the superhit film
Rajiv Rai told in a conversation with Siddharth Kanan that he had approached Chunky for ‘Tridev’, but this opportunity was lost from Chunky due to a tussle over Rs 1-2 lakh. Talking about this, he said- ‘I went to Chunky Pandey’s house 20–25 times for the film Tridev, he is a very good person, but every time he starts arguing for 1-2 lakhs. I was tired. He had to do the film, but would repeatedly talked about increasing the money, so I cast someone else. He is forced by habit, he is stingy.
Chunky Pandey used to keep only one cigarette with him
He shared another anecdote related to Chunky Pandey’s skimp and said, ‘He used to keep only one cigarette during the shooting of the film Vishwatma. I think it would be the last cigarette. But, later he himself told that he deliberately keeps only one cigarette with him so that no one can ask for cigarettes from him.
When Farah Khan refused to give 500
However, this is not the first time someone has talked about Chunky Pandey’s skimp. Earlier, filmmaker Farah Khan had also proved that Chunky Pandey is the biggest stingy of Bollywood and is it difficult to withdraw 500 rupees from him.
