Dhankuber turned out motor vehicle inspector

Odisha Vigilance took a major action on Sunday and raided the house of Motor Vehicle Inspector of the state government i.e. MVI Golap Chandra Hansdah and other locations and revealed crores of property. Vigilance got the eyes of Vigilance in the name of Hansdah and his family during the investigation. Six locations of Golap Chandra Hansdah Motor Vehicle Inspector were searched simultaneously, with 44 plots, one kg of gold, 2.126 kg silver, banks and insurance deposits worth Rs 1.34 crore, Rs 2.38 lakh cash and several precious goods were recovered.

The Vigilance team conducted a simultaneous raids on his daughter’s rented house in Buddhist Buddhist, his house in Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, his daughter’s rented flat in Pandara, Bhubaneswar, ancestral house in Gudidiha in Khunta police station area, his close home of his close aide in Baghdiha area of Baripada and his office chamber in Buddhist RTO office. The operation included 6 teams, including 4 DSPs, 7 inspectors and other staff. The search was conducted on the orders of the search warrant Special Judge, Vigilance Court, Barripada.

Treasure found in the house of motor vehicle inspector

  • 44 plot information was found from Hansda, out of which 43 plots are located in and around Baripada in Mayurbhanj district and one plot is on the outskirts of Baleshwar city.
  • Their registry value has been stated to be Rs 1.49 crore.
  • About 3,300 sqft double story building of Hansda has also been attached.
  • 1 kg of gold from Hansda bases, including 2 gold biscuits of 50 – 50 grams and 2.126 kg of silver was also recovered.
  • Hansda’s bank and insurance deposits have also been attached to the total value of Rs 1.34 crore.
  • Rs 2,38,725 cash has also been recovered from Hansda’s house. The biggest thing is that a diary has also been recovered from Hansda’s house, which has found details of benami money transactions and accounts.
  • A Hyundai Creta car and 3 two -wheelers in Hansda are also attached by Vigilance.
  • Vigilance has also attached precious household items worth about Rs 16.06 lakh from Hansda’s locations.
  • Vigilance raid has revealed that Hansda recently spent about Rs 40 lakh for the daughter’s medical education.
  • Vigilance says that further search is likely to reveal more property, which may further increase the total value.

Golap Chandra Hansdah was made Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector in 2003. He then worked in Taparia Czech Gate of Sundargarh, Laxmidunguri Check Gate of Sambalpur and RTO offices in Mayurbhanj and Bargarh. In the year 2020, he became a motor vehicle inspector and was posted in Buddhist RTO. Currently his monthly salary is Rs 1.08 lakh.
