The Indian team had set a target of 374 runs to win in front of England by scoring 396 runs in the second innings. In which Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 118 runs, Akash Deep scored 66 runs, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar scored 53-53 runs.

Significantly, after receiving the invitation of the first batting in this match, India scored 224 runs and in response, England scored 247 runs to take a lead of 23 runs.
