New Delhi: Instructions have been given to increase security by issuing an alert on the possible terrorist threat at the country’s airports. The Civil Aviation Safety Bureau (BCAS) has directed a terrorist group to increase security at airports in view of possible threat from a terrorist group during the period from 22 September to 2 October.
What is said in advisory?
An advisory in this regard has been issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Bureau (BCAS). The advisory states- “In view of the recently received information from the Central Security Agency, all the concerned parties at all airports have been directed to increase security measures on airports, airstrips, air areas, air force stations, and heliped. Information received from the Central Security Agency indicated a possible threat from terrorist groups between September 22 and October 225.
Threat from Pakistani terrorist group!
Information received from the Central Security Agency indicated a possible threat from terrorist groups between September 22 to October 225. Sources said that this advisory of BCAS is based on a specific information related to the activities of a Pakistani terrorist group. In this advisory released August 4, the BCAS has also said that coordination should be maintained with local police, Central Industrial Security Force, Intelligence Bureau and other concerned agencies.
Monitoring of sensitive areas
Advisory states that the airport terminal, parking and other sensitive areas should be constantly patrolled and monitored. Apart from this, all CCTV Sicitmus should be kept in non-stop active mode. Any suspicious item will be investigated immediately. Special investigation has been made mandatory before clearing of domestic and international cargo and mail. Passengers will be motivated to report suspicious goods or activities. An announcements and security drills will also be provided from time to time. (Language)
