All international flights of Air India will start from this date, due to this suspended
Tata Group -led airlines company Air India has said that it will start services of all its international flights from October 1 this year. The move has been taken after a major aircraft accident in Ahmedabad on June 12, in which the AI171 flight crashed immediately after the takeoff. According to ANI news, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said that partial restoration of international services has been started from 1 August, and aiming to operate full operation till 1 October. Air India CEO said that we are restarting flights after carefully checking each process. Recent operating challenges have been taken seriously, and we are making our internal system better.
Delhi-Milan flight cancell due to technical fault
On August 5, flight AI137, which was matched to Delhi on August 5, had to be canceled due to a technical problem just before the takeoff. This flight was to be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner, in which an essential maintenance work was taking more than the prescribed time. DGCA investigation revealed 51 security flaws
In the audit of Air India in the audit conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), 51 security related flaws were found. According to the report, some pilots received insufficient training. Unpartaged simulator was used and the crew rostering system had procedural flaws. June 12 accident
Flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London, crashed only a few minutes after flying. This accident is considered to be one of the deadliest events in India’s aviation history.
