In 2022, a 38 -year -old homeless woman, Danella Galagos, moved into a coma after an unknown medical emergency at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerk, New Mexico. According to The New York Times report, doctors told his family that he was less likely to recover, after which he agreed to donate organ through New Mexico Donor Services.

Tears seen in woman’s eyes

As soon as things started about organ donation surgery, the family of Galegos saw tears in their eyes, which was rejected by telling spontaneous actions. On the day of surgery, a sister of Galegos saw a stir in her eyes. A doctor then asked the Galegos to blink the eyelids, which he blinked, indicating that he was still alive.

Doctors took the stand

After all this, the Donation Coordinators allegedly pressured the hospital staff to move forward and suggested to give morphine to reduce the movement. Fortunately, the doctors refused and the surgery was stopped, the decision saved Gallegos’ life and she was completely cured.

What did Danella Galegos say?

“I feel very lucky but thinking how quickly things were going to end differently,” told to Dennella Galagos the New York Times. Later he lodged a complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services, after which the investigation of the incident started. The Presbyterian Hospital said the New Mexico Donor Services was responsible for the donation process, while the organization refused to intervene in medical decisions.
