Bollywood actress and former Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandes turns 40. Jacqueline was born on 11 August 1985 in Manama, Bahrain. His father Elroy Fernandes is from Sri Lankan Burger caste and mother Kim is of Canadian origin. Jacqueline did her schooling in Bahrain.
He then took a course in Mass Communication from Sydney University, Australia. Jacqueline was just 13 years old when she hosted Bahrain’s TV show. Then after completing graduation, he also worked as a professional TV reporter.
Jacqueline started a career as a TV journalist and hosted shows like ‘Lanka Business Report’. Despite the success in journalism, his dream was always to make a career in acting. In 2006, Jacqueline won the title of ‘Miss Sri Lanka Universe’. After this his luck changed.
Jacqueline started receiving offers from many international international projects. In Bollywood, Jacqueline started her career with the film Aladdin, released in 2009. Jacqueline’s opposite Ritesh Deshmukh was in this film. Despite veteran Kalakaro like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, this film could not show any wonders at the ticket window.
After Aladdin, Jacqueline worked in the film Na Jaane Kahan Hai in 2010 but this film could not show any wonders at the box office. Jacqueline did item number ‘Kya Hoga’ in the film Housefull directed by Sajid Khan, which was very much liked by the audience.
In 2011, Jacqueline acted in the superhit film Murder 2. In this film, Jacqueline’s bold look with Emraan Hashmi caught everyone’s attention and gave him a different identity in Bollywood. Then Jacqueline never looked back. He then acted in many successful films like Housefull 2, Race 2, Kick and Twins 2, Housefull 3. This year Jacqueline’s film Housefull 5 has been released.
Jacqueline also played the role of a judge in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ in 2016-17. His dancing skills and fashion sense made him the face of many big brands. Apart from films, Jacqueline has worked in many music videos.
Jacqueline Fernandes is also an active social worker. She is a supporter of PETA, has helped the Kerala flood victims and has been associated with organizations like ‘Habitat for Humanity’. He has also opened a restaurant named ‘Kima Sutra’ in Colombo.
