Video of assault viral on social media
CCTV footage clearly shows that one group is attacking another group with kicking and slap. It can be seen in this video clip that one person surrounded and beaten brutally by many students. The victim tried to escape in the college building, but the attackers pulled him back and beat him. Security personnel and some others tried to intervene, but the group of angry attackers returned repeatedly attacking him.
Controversy started with small talk
According to Rachakonda police, the incident started with a dispute among the students of Avinash College, after which the matter became violent. The police have registered a case against 15 people under various sections in this case, including allegations such as assault and criminal intimidation. Initial investigations have revealed that the clash began with a small dispute, which later took violent form. However, the exact cause of this gang war is not yet clear.
Other persons involved in the case are being identified
LB Officials of the city police station said that they are investigating the case thoroughly. Other potentially involved persons are being identified with the help of CCTV footage and statements of witnesses. The police, along with the college administration, have spoken of ensuring the safety of students and preventing such incidents in future.
