The visit to Kedarnath has been closed for the next three days from August 12. In fact, the Meteorological Department continues to warning the forecast and warning of very heavy rain. Under this, the district administration has stopped the journey of Kedarnath Dham from 12 August to 15 August. Meanwhile, the police have appealed to the devotees going on a visit to Kedarnath Dham not to visit Kedarnath Dham. For this, the police has also made arrangements for barricading and passengers are also being kept in Sonprayag by the police.

Kedarnath Dham Yatra closed

In fact, when an administrative order was issued to cancel the Kedarnath Dham Yatra, by that time many passengers had reached Sonprayag. In such a situation, when the administration tried to stop those passengers, there was also a noises between the passengers and the administrative officials. During this time, the barricading imposed by the police was also broken by the passengers and they were constantly demanding to go to Kedarnath Dham. However, the administration has stopped the journey to Kedarnath Dham in view of the possibility of heavy rains and the passengers are being prevented from moving forward.

Debate between police and devotees

On this matter, Superintendent of Police Rudraprayag Akshay Prahlad Konde said, “This morning, about 100-150 pilgrims reached Sonprayag and tried to move forward by arguing with the police in Sonprayag. The police stopped them and did not let them go. There has been no incident with anyone in this case. Let us know that rain has been seen due to monsoon for the past many days. However, according to the new forecast, the Kedarnath Dham Yatra route may see heavy rains, due to which the administration has stopped the journey of Kedarnath Dham for the next 3 days from August 12.
