Coolie: The Power House Review – Rajinikanth’s fire intact, but the break in the story

0

It has been 50 years since Rajinikanth acting in films and superstar Rajni’s film ‘Quli the Power House’ has been released on this special occasion. Rajni is 74 years old, but is still not only seen in the lead role but is also doing fight and dance with her familiar swag. The generations of the audience changed, but Rajni’s style is still not stale.

In the coolie too, Rajni repeats her swag and style in between, then a wave of happiness runs between the fans. Rajni is the hero of the common man, so these days he plays a very special common man in films, who wears slippers or sandals, drinks tea in the roadside gum and kills the bidi. Due to this, the general audience sitting in the cinema is immediately connected to Rajni’s character.

In the film, Rajinikanth plays a porter, although he was not shown picking up the goods. It is just said that he was sometimes in this work and during that time he killed a big man. But why the police case did not happen on this incident or why the investigation did not run – it does not clean the film, which is a weak aspect of the story.

Coolie Movie Review

However, a friend of Rajni dies and Rajni suspects that it is a murder rather than a natural death. Rajni goes on a mission to find the killer, in which she supports Shruti Haasan, who is the daughter of the deceased. In search of the killer, characters like Dayal (Sobin Shahir), Simon (Nagarjuna), Daha (Aamir Khan), Kalisha (Upendra) come at different turns of the story and move forward in Rajni Mission like a game of joining the dots.

The number of paper as the story looks good, the more impact in the film does not leave because it has been excessively spread. The masala was not with the team of the coolie to be tied for about three hours, so the story seems to be like a rail standing in the outer many times, and sometimes it seems that it is going round.

The director is also compelled here. Rajni’s film should be of three hours because the audience wants to see him full and if a small film is made, he feels that he has been cheated, so the matter is stretched, otherwise the coolie could easily be short -hatched for half an hour, which would increase the agility in the film.

Despite the shortcomings, the film binds the audience most of the time. There are two-three reasons for this, such as cameos played by big stars who come from time to time and raise the level of the film. The screenplay has a shocking twist to the audience from time to time, which holds the falling film. There are some entertaining scenes. The number of these elements in the first half is high, so the first half is better. In the second half, the film is more staggering. There are some things that the writers have taken the audience very lightly. Some things are not clear.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraja has made great films like Kathy, Master, but he could not reach his level in the coolie. Perhaps due to Rajni’s stardom, she has to make some compromises because when you make a film with Rajni, you have to take care of the choice of her loved ones. Technic Lokesh’s work is good, but as a story taylor, the case did not freeze.

Coolie Movie Review

Rajinikanth took over the entire film. He paid his character in a little funny way and did not appear unnecessarily taut. The action scene is not very stylish, but designed that suits Rajinikanth.

Shruti Haasan’s role is definitely long, but she had nothing to do. Saubin Shahir affects the most in the film after Rajni. In the form of Dayal they create fear, laugh and change colors like a chameleon. Nagarjuna remained average as Villain. Upendra is seen for a short time, but gives energy to the film. Aamir Khan’s cameo is tremendous and enhances the film’s stardom. Pooja Hegde also appears in a dance. The technical side is strong, the background music is a high level, cinematography is high, and Hindi dubbing is also excellent.

‘Coolie: The Power House’ is a visual treatment for the fans of Rajinikanth – his swag, style and charisma are still intact. But the lack of tightness in the story and lack of agility in editing prevents the film from becoming classic. As expected was, it is not fulfilled, yet it is a film that you can definitely watch for Rajni once.
