Increased uncertainty on bilateral trade agreement

According to media reports, the US delegation has canceled its visit, which has increased uncertainty on the bilateral trade agreement (BTA). Trump imposed additional tariff

The team had to pursue talks on bilateral trade agreement between the two countries, which is particularly important at this time, as US President Donald Trump has announced a 25% duty on Indian goods on Russian oil imports, which is in addition to 25% tariffs imposed earlier.

The talks would have been a sixth round of talks on the bilateral trade agreement between the US and India and its time was also important. Because it was to be around August 27, when the additional 25% tariff was about to apply. The talks were taking place before the September-October deadline, which was being targeted to finalize the agreement. However, sources said that the program of talks is likely to be re -determined.
