Pakistan Rain and Flood: The death toll in the last 48 hours has increased to 327 due to the sudden flood in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Many children are also included in the dead. Giving information, officials said that according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 151 people have died in the last 24 hours in Pakistan, including 144 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and 7 in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).

According to data from the National Disaster Management Authority, 645 people have been killed since the arrival of monsoon on 26 June in the country, of which more than 50 percent are mainly from the hill Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), there has been heavy damage due to sudden floods in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season will continue here on 21 August.

PDMA spokesperson Faizi said that in the last 48 hours in the province, 327 people have died due to rain, cloudburst and sudden floods. According to the PDMA status report, Buner district has been the most affected, where 204 people have died in the last 48 hours. The number of dead has increased due to the recovery of 20 bodies in the district during the day-to-day relief campaign. There have been 36 deaths in Shangla district, followed by 23 in Mansehra, 22 in Swat, 21 in Bajaur, 15 in Battagram, 5 in Lower Dir, while one child in Abbottabad has died. Those killed include at least 15 women and 13 children. PDMA reported that at least 120 people were injured. Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has issued special instructions regarding relief and rehabilitation works for flood affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
