6 Supreme Court stops sending back to alleged Pakistani citizens, know what to say
Big case in Supreme Court on the return of Pakistani citizens.
The Supreme Court currently stayed the 6 alleged Pakistani citizens living in India since the Pahalgam scandal. The Supreme Court asked the petitioners to keep their demands with the appropriate authority. The petitioners argue that they have a valid Indian passport. Let’s know everything about this matter
Petitioner’s counsel Nand Kishore said that this is a shocking case. We have been detained on the border. We are Indian citizens, we have Indian passports, Aadhaar cards. My family has been taken to the Wagah border by sitting in the car. On the verge of being taken out of the country, we are Indian citizens. We were issued a notice and asked us to leave from here. There are a total of 6 people- two sons work in Bangalore. Mother, father, sister, another brother, we have passports issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Solicitor General said that these people should go to the officials concerned.
Tariq Mashkur Butt, father of petitioner Ahmed Tariq Batt, is a resident of Mirpur in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. His mother Nusrat Batt is born in Srinagar. According to the petition, Tariq Batt remained in Mirpur, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir till 1997. Then in 2000, the whole family crossed the border and came to Srinagar. He remained in the Kashmir Valley for many years. He currently lives in Bangalore. Meanwhile, he took a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management in Kozhikode, Kerala. For some years he has been working in an IT company in Bangalore.
He has also written in his application that he and his family have an Indian passport and Aadhaar card. The family is survived by his sister Ayesha Tariq, brother Abubakar Tariq and Omar Tariq Batt. According to the petition, Tariq Batt lived in Mirpur. But the birth place in the passport is Srinagar.
