After the announcement of the NDA Vice Presidential candidate, it is the turn to announce its candidate of India alliance today. There has been a meeting of India alliance in Parliament House in which the Vice Presidential candidate has been discussed. So far, the name of any candidate has not been revealed by the opposition. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called all opposition leaders and sought support for NDA Vice Presidential candidate by naming CP Radhakrishnan. On Sunday evening, he spoke to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and sought support for Radhakrishnan.

When will Radhakrishnan file nomination?
The NDA announced its candidate’s name on Sunday. Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the candidate for the post of Vice President from NDA. On Sunday, the name of CP Radhakrishnan was approved in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting chaired by PM Modi. CP Radhakrishnan will file nomination on 21 August. During this time all the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states will also be present.
Will DMK oppose or support?
Given the NDA figures, Radhakrishnan seems to be sure to become the next Vice President. At the same time, PM Modi has tried to make a dent in the opposition by placing bets on Radhakrishnan. Radhakrishnan is from Tamil Nadu, so it will now be interesting to see whether DMK opposed him or will vote in support of Radhakrishnan.
What is the number game?
This time a total of 782 MPs are eligible for voting, of which 542 are from Lok Sabha and 240 Rajya Sabha. The majority will require 392 MPs. There are 427 MPs in favor of the government while the opposition has 355 MPs. The interesting aspect of this is that 133 of these MPs are currently being considered as indiscriminate, which can change the direction of the entire election.
