Government released PMVBRY portal, 3.5 crore will be spent for employment 99,446A
Central government On Monday, the portal of ‘Prime Minister Developed India Employment Scheme’ (PMVBRY) introduced. The objective of this scheme is to encourage more than 3.5 crore employment generation in the country during August 2025 to July 2027. Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandavia, while presenting the portal of PMVBRY, said that both employers and people working for the first time can avail this central scheme of about one lakh crore rupees. The Union Cabinet approved this incentive scheme related to employment on 1 July 2025. For this, Rs 99,446 crore has been allocated and its objective is to encourage the creation of 3.5 crore employment opportunities from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2027.
Employees will get 1 month salary in two installments
The Union Minister said that the employer and employers for the first time can take advantage of this scheme by registration or ‘Umang’ app on this portal. This plan is divided into two parts. The first part of it is for the first time for the employees who become part of the labor force. In this, employees up to a maximum of Rs 15,000 monthly salary (Basic+DA) will be given an incentive amount equal to one month’s salary in two installments.
How will employers get benefit
At the same time, there is a provision to encourage employers in the second part of PMVBRY. 3 slabs of encouragement have been kept for employers. If the employee’s salary is Rs 10,000 monthly, the employer will get an incentive of Rs 1000 while a lump sum incentive of Rs 3000 will be given to the employers on employees with salary of Rs 2000 and Rs 30,000 on salary ranging from Rs 10,000 to 20,000.
Employees who get total salary up to one lakh rupees will be eligible
Mansukh Mandavia said, “This scheme will encourage the creation of new employment in the country and support new employees by giving incentives.” The Ministry of Labor said in a note that under the first part, the employees who get a total salary of up to one lakh rupees will be eligible. In the second part, additional employment will be promoted in all sectors, especially the manufacturing sector. Under the second part, employers will get an incentive of up to Rs 3000 every month for 2 years on the condition of keeping a job continuously for 6 months on every additional employee (both jobbers and re -jobs).
Special focus on manufacturing sector
This benefit will be given for 4 years in the case of manufacturing sector. For eligibility, the employer will have to recruit at least two (establishment with less than 50 employees) or five (establishment with more than 50 employees) and hiring for at least 6 months. The ministry said that establishments placed outside the purview of the Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 will also be part of the scheme. However, for this, they have to file electronic invoices and returns and through the Umang app, they will have to open UAN accounts for all their existing and new employees.
