To avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army had destroyed the ‘Operation Sandar Chalai’ and 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan. Animesh Patni, son of Kunzed village in Baran district and Jambaz Group Captain Animesh Patni, has also contributed to this operation. Animesh Patni has been awarded the Gallantry Award ‘Veera Chakra’ by the Government of India. The award was given at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. There is a wave of happiness in Baran when Group Captain Animesh receives the third largest award of the war period, Veera Chakra.
Animesh entered the Pakistan border under Operation Sindoor and successfully carried out the air strike. His team targeted MuridK and the headquarters of terrorist organizations in Bahawalpur and important military bases of Pakistan.
Also shown courage in 2010
An example of Animesh’s valor was also seen in 2010. During his deployment at Jodhpur airbase, his MiG-27 aircraft blasted during the flight. He then turned the aircraft towards Jaitpur village in Pali district away from the populated area, showing understanding. The aircraft crashed there and averted a large loss of life. During this, he saved his life by jumping from parachutes.
Study in Kota, first posting in Assam
Animesh Patni was born on 25 January 1984 in Kota. He completed his studies from St. Paul School in Kota till 12th. He was then selected in the National Defense Academy (NDA) Kharagwasla, Pune. After passing out in 2004, his first posting in 2005 was on the Chhabwa Air Force Base in Assam. He is currently working as a group captain at Adampur Airbase near Jalandhar.

Animesh’s father KK Patni was working as an engineer in the Public Works Department Kota. During this time, he shifted here with the family from the village, in such a situation, Animesh also remained quota with the family. After completion of school studies, he was selected in NDA and 3 years he took training in Pune. After this, he was commissioned in the Air Force as a lieutenant. Later he was posted at many places in the country. He has also done several operations.
On the night of 6-7 May 2025, when the Indian Airforce attacked the shelter of terror in Pakistan by taking an air strike. After this, PM Modi went to Adampur Airbase, when he met Animesh and other brave officers and soldiers. PM Modi also gave praise to Animesh and his team.
Who all are there in the family?
Animesh’s father died in 2020. He has three siblings in his family. Both elder sisters work. One is a sister in Hyderabad and the other is a doctor in Ajmer. Animesh is the youngest among the three siblings in the family. Animesh currently lives with his wife Vardani, mother Anila and 13 -year -old daughter Vamika. He goes to his village Kunzed on Teej festival.
