2025 Paryushan Parv: The Paryushan Mahaparva of Shwetambar Jain society has started from Wednesday, 20 August 2025, this year. This festival of Shwetambar community lasts for eight days. This festival falls every year in the month of Bhadrapada, in which Shwetambar Jain religious religions abandon worldly fascination and live in self -practice for autobiography. These days, fasting, fasting, meditation, self-study and Samvatsari Mahaparva i.e. forgiveness are done.
This time, starting from August 20, this festival will end with Samvatsari Mahaparva on 27 August 2025. The main purpose of this festival is to cleanse your soul and stay away from physical and mental impurities and meditate in religion.
With the commencement of Mahaparva Paryushan of Jain culture, Jain Shwetambar temples and sub-teeth will be seen increasing and will be absorbed in penance for eight consecutive days, as well as many religious programs are also organized.
On the day of Samvatsari Mahaparva, Jain Dharmavalambi calls each other ‘Michhami Dukkadam’, which means’ forgiveness for all the wrongdoing done by me. This festival is a symbol of forgiveness and self-purification.
