Two arrested for committing fraud in the name of getting admission in schools and colleges

Noida, October 16 (IANS). Noida Police Station Expressway has arrested two accused, Mohammad Rizwan Alam and Chiranjeev, of a gang involved in fraud by making calls in the name of getting children admitted in schools and colleges.

Police interrogation revealed that the accused used to commit fraud while sitting in ABC Building Tower No. 4 and collect huge amount from the students in the name of admission. These people created fake websites through social media and called students and lured them with 100 percent scholarship on the basis of marks and a laptop for every admission.

The vicious people used to collect data, names and mobile numbers of the students through social media and other means.

Police said that these people used to persuade people to get admission by showing fake MoUs from IT University and Engineering College and publicizing them. After this, money was transferred in the name of counseling and school fees. The accused used to talk to the students from different numbers and after cheating, they used to switch the numbers.

Police said that Rizwan Alam is a resident of Buxar, Bihar and Chiranjeev is a resident of Patna. Five laptops, 5 smartphones, 9 feature phones, 32 SIM cards and other items were recovered from them. They are being interrogated and the entire truth about the fraud is also being ascertained.
