Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Mafia operatives who came out on bail from jail have once again started the business of lifting vehicles. The situation is that despite the matter being in the court, the mafia henchman picked up a person’s truck and parked it in his yard.

Ajay Kumar Srivastava, resident of Ramjanaki Nagar Basharatpur of the city, works as a transporter. He had taken the truck on finance from a private bank. The bank had re-financed the loan due to non-payment of some installments during the Corona period. The finance company threatened to tow the car if he refused to pay more interest. Ajay Kumar Srivastava went to court regarding this. The court gave notice to all the parties to appear but the bank party did not appear in the court.

Meanwhile, on September 11, 2024, mafia operatives stopped Ajay’s car in Khorabar area and beat up the driver and snatched the car. When the driver informed Ajay Kumar Srivastava about this, he called 112. The police is investigating the matter since then.

On the other hand, after complaining to the commissioner, the victim narrated the entire incident and said that without any order, his truck was forcibly snatched away by the mafia operatives. When the Commissioner’s letter reached the SSP, he ordered an investigation.

In a similar case of vehicle lifting, a case of robbery has already been registered against the mafia and its associates. Then the officers had given a clear message that strict action would be taken if any vehicle is forcibly lifted without permission. Now after this incident came to light, the victim has complained to the police. When no action was taken, I complained to the Commissioner. The police have been investigating the case for about 20 days.

When the notice arrived from the court, the mafia got the car taken away. Ajay Kumar Srivastava told that he had financed the truck in August 2017. A total of Rs 29 lakh was to be deposited including interest, out of which he had deposited Rs 24 lakh 21 thousand. Since he could not pay some installments during the Corona period, the bank re-financed it and made him a liability of Rs 13 lakh. He had gone to court against this. The court called after giving notice. Meanwhile, mafia operatives from the bank side have picked up the truck and parked it in their yard.

In a similar case, the police have registered a case of robbery. In May 2023, the police registered a case against the mafia, his brother and others for forcibly parking the truck in the yard when the installment of the truck was due and looting Rs 16,000 kept in the cabin. Even the charge sheet has been filed. After this incident, it was ordered that no one would pick up any vehicle without permission.
