Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continues its dominance as the best-selling 7-seater in India with 17,441 units in September 2024
In September 2024, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has recorded domestic sales of 17,441 units, registering a growth of 29 per cent year-on-year as compared to 13,528 units sold during the same period last year. In the 7-seater category, Mahindra Scorpio has achieved sales of 14,438 units, compared to 11,846 units during the same month last year. In this way, its sales have increased by 22 percent on annual basis.
Mahindra Earlier this year, Mahindra had expanded the XUV700 lineup by adding a 6-seater variant and a special edition model, further strengthening its appeal.
Mahindra Bolero recorded sales of 8,180 units in September 2024, a decline of 14 per cent year-on-year as compared to 9,519 units sold in the same month last year. Similarly, combined sales of Toyota Innova HighCross and Innova Crysta reached 8,052 units in September as against 8,900 units in the same period of 2023. Which is a decrease of 10 percent year-on-year.

In contrast, the Kia Carens MPV took the sixth position in the 7-seater sales chart for September 2024 with 6,217 units sold, an impressive growth of 44 per cent year-on-year compared to 4,330 units sold in September 2023. Maruti Suzuki XL6 took the seventh position with sales of 3,734 units, a decline of 17 per cent year-on-year as compared to 4,511 units sold in the same period last year.
Hyundai Alcazar has been ranked eighth in the list with 2,712 units, which is a growth of 37 per cent year-on-year as compared to 1,977 units sold in the same period last year. It recently received a facelift update and many new features have also been added to it. At the same time, 2,473 units of Toyota Fortuner were sold in September 2024, which is 14 percent less as compared to 2,874 units sold in the same month last year.
Tata Safari, on the other hand, saw a growth in sales and recorded sales of 1,644 units last month, which is a substantial growth of 219 per cent year-on-year compared to 516 units sold during the same period in 2023.
