As Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Omar receives the first Guard of Honor at the Civil Secretariat

Hours after taking oath as the first Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah received a guard of honor at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar before assuming the post of CM.

According to reports, Omar reached the Civil Secretariat here where he was given a guard of honour.

The Chief Minister is all set to chair the first meeting of Administrative Secretaries in the Civil Secretariat. An order issued yesterday said that the Chief Minister will chair a meeting of all Administrative Secretaries on 16-10-2024 (Wednesday) at 03:00 pm at the Meeting Hall, 3rd Floor, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

All Administrative Secretaries have been requested to attend the meeting on scheduled date, time and venue.

Relevantly, Omar took oath as the first Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir amid the presence of several top leaders of the INDI alliance, including leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, senior AICC leader Priyanka Gandhi, AICC president Malik Karjun Kharge. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and others.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Sherry Kashmir International Convention Center in Srinagar.
