Li Qiang met Pakistani President

Beijing, October 16 (IANS). Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari at Pakistan’s Rashtrapati Bhavan.

During the meeting, Li Qiang said that the friendship between China and Pakistan is strong. China is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with Pakistan, strengthen exchange of experience in state governance, and firmly support each other on issues related to each other’s core interests.

In addition, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in the high-quality project to strengthen the docking of China development strategies, expand economic and trade cooperation, deepen humanitarian exchanges, jointly build the ‘Belt and Road’ Ready to work with Pakistan to continue construction.

At the same time, Zardari said that no matter what changes occur in the international situation, Pakistan-China relations always progress rapidly and keep moving towards new levels. Pakistan will firmly adhere to the One-China principle and firmly support each other with China on issues related to each other’s core interests. Together, Pakistan will do its best to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens, institutions and projects in Pakistan.
