The moneylender’s son loved his sister very much and he was very sad to see his sister’s face distraught with hunger. Seeing this condition of his sister, he thought that if the moon comes out soon, his sister can break her fast and eat food. After which he lit a lamp on the hill near the city and kept it under the cover of walking and Said to sister, look sister, the moon has come out, now you can break your fast. The moneylender’s daughter also asked her sisters-in-law to break their fast after seeing the moon, but her sisters-in-law said, “Baisa, your moon has come out, there is still time for our moon to rise.” The sister, distraught with hunger, ignored her sisters-in-law and obeyed her brothers and offered water to the fake moon shown by them and consumed food and water.

As soon as she sprinkled it, her husband came back to life and while leaving, Chauth Mata kicked his hut. Due to which his hut became a palace.
When her younger sister-in-law brought food, she saw that a palace was standing in place of her sister-in-law’s hut. Long ago, there was a blind old woman who lived with her poor son and daughter-in-law. That blind old woman used to worship Lord Ganesha daily. One day Ganesh ji becomes pleased with the old lady and comes face to face and says that I am pleased with your worship, you can ask for whatever boon you want. The old lady says, I don’t know how to ask, so how and what should I ask for.
Then Ganesh ji said to ask his daughter-in-law and son. Then the old lady asked her son and bride, the son said that he should ask for money and the daughter-in-law said that the grandson should ask for it. Then the old lady thought that they were talking about their own personal interests. Then when the old lady asked the neighbors, the neighbors said that old lady, you have only a little life left. Why ask for money and grandson, you just ask for your eyes so that the rest of your life can be spent happily.
That old lady, after listening to the words of her son, daughter-in-law and neighbors, went inside the house and thought, why not ask for such a thing which will be beneficial for both my son and daughter-in-law and me. When Shri Ganesh ji came the next day and said, please tell me what you want to ask for? Our word is that whatever you ask for will be done. Hearing the words of Lord Ganesha, the old woman said, O Ganaraj! After listening to the old lady, Ganesh ji said, Old lady, you have cheated me. Well, you will get whatever you asked for. Saying this, Lord Ganesha disappeared. Hey Lord Ganesha!
