Rot teej vrat: In Jainism, the festival of Trilok Teej or Rottij is very important from both religious and cultural terms. This festival is celebrated every year on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month, which often comes one day before Ganesh Chaturthi. Trilok Teej or Rottij is a special spiritual festival of Jainism, which is not only a symbol of fasting and worship, but also has the opportunity to devoutly remember the path of Triloka composition, karma theory, and liberation of the soul. On this fast, fasting or juice is sacrificed and accepted according to its power.

Complete method of fasting and worship: The fast of Trilok Teej is observed for three, twenty -four or twenty -four years, which depends on the power and reverence of the person. The method of fasting is as follows:

1. Resolve to fast:

• Get up early in the morning on the fast day and take a bath and wear clean clothes.

• Go to Mandirji and prepare for the worship of twenty -four Tirthankaras at the place of worship.

• Pledge to fast with water in your hand.

2. Pooja and Vidhan:

• 24 Tirthankaras are worshiped on this day, which is also called ‘Chaubisi Vidhan’. And Panchaparameshthi Vidhan is done.

• Male classes anoint the idols of God.

3. Rot’s enjoyment:

• Home -made rot, kheer and trumpet vegetable are taken separately and worshiped and fed to the cow.

• After offering indulgence, all family members and relatives eat the rot as offerings.

4. Ekasana and Donation

• In this fast, ‘Ekasana’ is performed only once a day, in which food and water are consumed by sitting in only one place.

• Religion is absorbed in meditation by renouncing condemnation during the fast.

• On this day, there is also special significance to give four types of donations to Shastra Daan and Chaturvidha Sangh (Sadhu, Sadhvi, Shravak, Shravika) in Jain temples.

This fast not only gives spiritual purification, but also brings happiness, prosperity and peace in life.
