Bahraich/Lucknow: Sarfaraz Khan and Talim, accused of shooting dead Ram Gopal Mishra in Bahraich, were encountered by the police on Thursday, 17 October. The police shot both of them in an encounter on the Nepal border. Meanwhile, politics over the encounter has intensified. Samajwadi Party chief and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav is furious over this encounter.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav while talking to the media said that such incidents are happening continuously and these incidents are happening due to the failure of the government. The government is organizing encounters to hide its failure. Encounter, half encounter, there are many other definitions which have been made by the government. If law and order had been improving due to the encounter, then Uttar Pradesh would have been better than other states in many statistics.
Akhilesh further said that it was an administrative failure that when the police was aware of the program there (Bahraich), then why were they not able to conduct the program peacefully? Encountering and promoting hatred is the new way of working of this government. Where is this justice system?
Violence took place on Sunday evening
Let us tell you that on Sunday evening, a crowd had gathered for the immersion of the idol of Maa Durga in Rehua Mansoor village of Hardi police station of Bahraich district. During this, Muslims pelted stones at the crowd. Not only this, he fired indiscriminately. In this, 22 year old Ram Gopal Mishra of Rehua Mansoor village was shot, due to which he died. Another person is badly injured. Only 4 months had passed since Ram Gopal’s marriage. The family members are alleging that a mob of Muslims pulled them out but then shot them.
