The series revolves around the life of Abhishek, an engineering graduate, who takes up a job as a secretary in a panchayat office in a remote village called Phulera in Uttar Pradesh due to a lack of better job opportunities.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, “The shooting of the fourth season of Panchayat is going to start from October 25.

The report further states that the show will return with its famous characters. Jitendra Kumar (Abhishek Tripathi aka Secretary Ji), Raghubir Yadav (Brij Bhushan Dubey aka Pradhan Pati), Neena Gupta (Manju Devi), Faisal Malik (Prahlad), Chandan Roy (Vikas Shukla), Sanvika (Rinki), Durgesh Kumar (Bhushan ), Ashok Pathak (Binod), Sunita Rajwar (Kranti Devi) and Pankaj Jha, who plays the role of a fraud MLA, are seen playing essential roles in the Panchayat series.

The report further states, “The producers are trying to make the Panchayat series super entertaining for the audience. Because they know that the audience has a lot of expectations for the new season, you can watch the Panchayat series sitting with your family.

Panchayat director Deepak Kumar Mishra told PTI that at least two more seasons of the popular comedy-drama series Panchayat are in the works, and the crew has already started production on the fourth season. The first season of Panchayat was released on April 3, 2020, while season 2 was released on May 18, 2022. Season 3 will also be released after a gap of two years.
