Kolkata. On the indefinite hunger strike of junior doctors, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said that such hunger strikes should not continue. Because now the process is in the court. CBI is investigating, charge sheet has been filed against the accused arrested by Kolkata Police. There is no need for hunger strike.

Hundreds of women today marched to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Kolkata demanding speedy justice in the RG Kar Hospital rape and murder incident. These women, under the banner of a lesser-known organization Jago Nari, walked to the CBI office in Salt Lake, North 24 Parganas, on the northern edge of the city. One of the protesters said that we feel that the investigating agency is not doing its work properly.

This is basically repeating what Kolkata Police had said earlier. Junior doctor Aniket Mahato, who was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated due to hunger strike demanding justice for the deceased in a case of rape and murder of a trainee female doctor at RG Kar Hospital, was discharged today after six days. A senior doctor of the hospital said that the doctors have advised him (Aniket) to take complete rest for seven days. After which his health will be reviewed.
