Pilibhit. In Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, a youth from a non-community, hiding his identity, befriended a girl from the Hindu community and raped her. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail.
Police sources said on Friday that the girl, resident of a village in Sungarhi Kotwali area, said in the complaint given to the police that she started talking to an ID named Rahul on social media.
The accused called her to Pilibhit to meet her on the festival of Holi and took her to a cafe and raped her. After making a video of it, he threatened him that if he informed anyone about this incident, he would make the video viral.
It is alleged that he raped the girl several times. On October 13, when the accused came to meet the girl at the Ramlila fair, he tried to take her with him by force.
When the girl protested, the accused assaulted her and strangulated her. During this, the accused revealed his real identity, which was Javed, and threatened to take the girl with him and convert her to religion.
Sunagadhi police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Pandey said that information is being collected about the accused. Taking immediate action on the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case against the accused under section 64 (2) (m), (115) (2), (351) (3) of BNS. The accused has been sent to jail today.
