Drone attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s house, suspicion of attack on Hezbollah

New Delhi. A drone from Lebanon targeted the house of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the Prime Minister’s private residence in Caesarea was the target of the drone attack from Lebanon on Saturday (October 19) morning.

According to the Times of Israel report, the PMO said that Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara were not at home at the time of the attack and there were no casualties in the incident. According to the report, two other drones fired from Lebanon on Saturday morning were shot down by air security forces.

This attack on the Israeli PM happened at a time when the Israeli army killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar three days ago on Wednesday (October 16). According to Israel, Sinwar was the main strategist of last year’s October 7 attack.

In a statement late Wednesday after Sinwar’s death, Iran-backed Hezbollah announced the beginning of a new and more aggressive phase of confrontation with the Israeli enemy. Israel officially announced the death of the Hamas leader on Thursday (October 17). Sinwar, the mastermind of the October 7 attack and massacre, was killed in gunfire in Rafah, southern Gaza, on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet Security Agency said in a statement.

Let us tell you that on October 7, 2023, about 1200 people were killed in Hamas attacks on Israel and more than 250 people were taken captive. Of these, 101 hostages are still missing who are believed to be in Gaza. After this attack, Israel declared war against Hamas and started attacks on the Gaza Strip occupied by the Palestinian group. According to an October 19 report by Al Jazeera, at least 42,500 people have been killed and 99,546 injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
