Kathmandu, 19 October (Hindustan Reporter). The delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which has openly interfered in Nepal’s internal politics, has once again become active in bringing unity among the leftist parties of Nepal. Every month some Chinese delegation is visiting Nepal and they are meeting with various leftist parties of Nepal, in which the only agenda of talks is to bring all the leftists of Nepal into one party.

A CPC delegation has arrived in Kathmandu today itself, which is busy meeting the top leaders of Nepal’s leftist party. On Saturday, a five-member delegation led by Chen Kang, central member of CPC and secretary of Chinhang Province, arrived. This Chinese delegation has met former Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda today itself, while a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled for tomorrow i.e. on Sunday. Other leftist leaders are also being met at tonight’s dinner party.

During the meeting with Prachanda, the Chinese delegation said that Beijing is in favor of Nepal’s leftist unity and they are visiting Kathmandu to convey the same message. Top leaders of the Maoist party were also present during this meeting. Vice President of Maoist Party Narayan Kazi Shrestha, who was present in this meeting, said that the wish of CPC and their goodwill is unity among the leftists of Nepal. The CPC delegation has kept the issue of unity among all the communist parties as a priority and to achieve this as soon as possible.

Shrestha said that Prachanda told the CPC leaders that he is always in favor of Left unity and is continuously making efforts for it. Prachanda also told the Chinese delegation that soon there will be unity with all the factions that have seceded from the Maoist party. Similarly, in the second phase, unity talks are going on with other leftist parties, which is in the final stage.
