According to an estimate by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), this year there has been a business of more than Rs 22 thousand crore on Karva Chauth, which is more than 30 percent compared to last year.
CAIT said in a statement that it is estimated that business worth Rs 4.25 lakh crore will be done across the country on the occasion of Diwali in this festive season. Business on Karva Chauth is part of this festive series. According to the business organization, there was tremendous excitement in the markets on this special occasion. There was massive shopping for clothes, jewellery, make-up, puja items and gifts. At the same time, in the last few days, there has been an emphasis on purchasing gift items of jewelery and silver, due to which traders across the country have benefited a lot.
A large number of men also kept the fast of Karva Chauth
Usually, married women keep the fast of Karva Chauth for the long life of their husbands. This time, a special thing about the Karva Chauth fast was that a large number of men also kept the fast for the long life and health of their wives. This tradition is no longer limited to only women, but men also took part in understanding the importance of this festival. Especially among the young generation, more enthusiasm has been seen regarding this fast. The youth have left their elders behind in this matter, which makes it clear that the modern generation also understands the importance of staying connected to their traditions.
CAT National General Secretary and Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal has also been observing Karva Chauth fast for more than 20 years. He has also been continuously urging a large number of businessmen across the country to observe this fast. Regarding this, Khandelwal said that I have been observing Karva Chauth fast with my wife for more than 20 years. He said that the objective is not only to pray for their long and healthy life but also to promote family happiness, prosperity and mutual cooperation.
