Dhanashree Verma said, “One reason is that we call it a personal life. It should be private. The coin has two aspects, clap does not ring with one hand. Just because I am not speaking, it does not mean that someone can take advantage of it. It is not right and it should not happen to anyone.”

Significantly, both of them got married in December 2020, but they were living separately since June 2022. On 5 February this year, both of them filed a divorce petition with mutual consent. The Bombay High Court had directed the family court to take a quick decision in the case and also removed the condition of a six -month mandatory cooling period.
