ImpS Charges: It has become very easy to transfer money online in today’s Digital India. Apart from UPI, you can also transfer money online through IMPS, NEFT and RTGS. UPI, IMPS and RTGS are real time money transfer platforms, through which money is immediately reached in front of the person after transferring money. Many banks have increased the fees charged for IMPS. Apart from State Bank of India, it includes the names of Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and HDFC Bank.

A maximum of Rs 5 lakh can be sent through IMPS in a day

You can transfer a maximum of Rs 5 lakh a day through IMPS. Where on one hand, earlier all government banks did not charge any fees for IMPS, while on the other hand some private banks already used to charge for IMPS. Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank and HDFC Bank have implemented new rates for IMPS since August. However, this fee is very minor.

Canra bank

  • There will be no charge for transferring up to Rs 1000.
  • 3 rupees for transfer from 1000 to 10,000 rupees+GST
  • 5 rupees for transfer from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000+GST
  • 8 rupees for transfer from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,00,000
  • Rs 15 for transfer from Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 2,00,000
  • 20 rupees for transfer from Rs 2,00,000 to Rs 5,00,000

Punjab national bank

  • There will be no charge for transferring up to Rs 1000.
  • 6 rupees+GST from Branch and Rs 5+GST online for transfer from 1001 to Rs 1,00,000
  • Rs 12 from branch for transfer of more than Rs 1,00,000+GST and Rs 10+GST online

HDFC Bank

  • Rs 2.50 for ordinary citizens up to Rs 1000 and Rs 2.25 for senior citizens.
  • 5 rupees for normal customers and Rs 4.50 for senior citizens to transfer from 1000 to 1,00,000 rupees.
  • Rs 15 for normal customers for transfer of more than Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 13.50 for senior citizens.
