New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday called the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) set up to consider the three Bills who set out the outline of removing the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers and said that she would not send any of her members in it.

The Union Territory Government (Amendment) Bill 2025, Constitution (one hundred and thirty-thirty amendment) Bill 2025 and Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill 2025 were introduced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. They have been sent to a joint committee of Parliament.

JPC a show-off-TMC

The Trinamool Congress said in a statement, “We are opposing the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill from the stage of introduction and we believe that JPC is a pretense. So we are not nominating anyone from Trinamool. ”The proposed bill provides a legal outline to remove the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers for 30 consecutive days arrest in serious charges.

Opposition strongly opposed

These bills brought just before the conclusion of the monsoon session have strongly opposed the opposition. The committee has been directed to submit its report to the House in the winter session. The session will probably be held in the third week of November. Earlier in the Rajya Sabha, Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien said that the Center remained in “defensive” currency throughout the monsoon session and took several measures to interrupt the proceedings.

O’Brien, in his post on ‘X’, termed the ruling alliance as “weak”. He said, “The entire monsoon session, Modi coalition with 239 seats remained in defensive posture. The Vice President of India remained missing and the BJP has not yet found a new national president. “He said,” Also, the vote theft scam also took place. ” Under pressure, he found ways to obstruct the entire session. ”
