Sonakshi Sinha will roar again as Anjali Bhati, the shooting of Reema Kagji 2 will start from this month

Reema Kagti, considered one of the finest storytellers of Indian cinema, has presented strong stories in various disciplines. Earlier this year, he directed the ‘Superboys of Malegaon’, a heart -touching story that rocked the box office and also praised critics.

Supported by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar’s Tiger Baby, the film became one of the most favorite films of the year. And now, according to the news, Reema Kagti has started work on the script of the much awaited ‘roar’ sequel.

Sonakshi Sinha made her digital debut with ‘Dahad’ in 2023, which is also directed by Kagti. The show was very successful and now the pair is going to come together again for ‘Dahad 2’.

According to sources associated with the film, Reema Kagti has prepared the script of “Dahad 2” and is preparing to start filming in December 2025. “The script is ready and the web series is currently in the pre-production stage. Sonakshi Sinha will return to play the role of SI Anjali Bhati, while the casting of other characters is still going on.

Like roar, the second season will also play the role of a powerful actor villain and casting is also going on. The roar 2 will continue as a socially relevant thriller based on the realities of Indian society, in which Sonakshi Sinha will return to her famous role of a fearless police officer.

Reema Kagti will once again lead the project for writing of acclaimed films like Zindagi Na Milegi Do and Dil Dhadakne Do for making series like “Made in Heaven” and “Dahar”. After the success of the 2025’s most acclaimed film “Superboys of Malegaon”, Kagti is back as producer for the new season.
