A new twist has come in the case of burying several bodies in the shrine of Karnataka. The State Government’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested the complainant of the case. He is accused of making false statements and presenting wrong evidence.

The arrested complainant was the former cleaning worker of the temple. This was accused of many murders, rapes and bodies in the shrine for two decades. He has been identified as CN Chinnaiya.

SIT Chief Pranab Mohanty said that his statement and documents made a difference. After this, Chinnaiya was questioned till late Friday night. He was then arrested on Saturday morning and presented in the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Vijayendra. The court has sent Chinnaiya to a 10 -day SIT custody.

No woman’s body has been recovered yet

According to reports, Chinnaiya made a statement in front of the Belthangadi Magistrate on July 11 and presented a skull and some bones. He claimed that the remains belonged to a woman who was sexually abused. But in the forensic report, this remains were found to be a male.

Chinneya claimed that the bodies of more than 100 women and girls were buried by putting pressure on her. However, SIT has so far excavated 17 places, out of which only men’s skeletons have been recovered at 2 places.

Used to work in the temple between 1998 and 2014. I am coming forward now, because the feeling of regrets and justice to the victims is not letting me live peacefully. In 1998, the supervisor of the Dharmasthal asked me to quiet the corpses for the first time. When I refused, I was brutally beaten and threatened to kill the family
In 2014, my minor relative also had sexual harassment, after which I ran away from the Dharmasthal along with the family and lived in another state with anonymous identity.
The accused Dharmasthal is a very influential people associated with the temple administration, who eliminate the protesters.
I have handed over the evidence of the picture and the remained remains to the police. I am also ready for polygraph test and scientific investigation.
The temple of Manjunath as Lord Shiva

The Dharmasthal Temple is a very famous temple situated on the banks of the Netravati river near Mangaluru in Karnataka. This temple is a form of Lord Shiva by Shri Manjunath. The special thing here is that the temple is worshiped by Hindu pundits, but the people of Jainism conduct the temple.

This temple is an example of a combination of Hindu and Jainism. Every day thousands of people come here to visit. Free food (foods), education and treatment facilities are also provided in the temple.
