Government can launch a assistance scheme of Rs 25,000 crore to promote expenses
Central government A assistance scheme of Rs 25,000 crore can be launched to promote the country’s exports. Under the Export Promotion Mission announced in the budget, measures to provide assistance of about Rs 25,000 crore to exporters for FY 2025 to 2031 are being considered. Sources said, “The main objective of this encouragement is to provide easy and affordable loans to exporters.” The Ministry of Commerce has sent this proposal to the Finance Finance Committee (EFC) of the Finance Ministry. If these measures are approved, they can help Indian exporters to protect the global trade uncertainties arising from American tariffs. After approving the proposal from EFC, the Ministry of Commerce will contact the Union Cabinet.
To promote inclusive and sustainable export growth
The proposed mission aims to promote broad, inclusive and sustainable export growth in the next 6 years (FY 2025-31). Under this, new measures will be discovered to remove major obstacles by traditional methods that Indian exporters especially MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). According to sources, it is proposed to implement this mission through two sub-schemes including ‘export incentive’ (more than Rs 10,000 crore) and ‘export direction’ (more than Rs 14,500 crore). The main things that the government is considering under the ‘Export Promotion’ scheme includes the support support of more than Rs 5000 crore for the next 6 financial years (2025-2031).
There is also a consideration to provide credit cards for e-commerce exporters
In addition, the scheme also includes promoting alternative trade finance tools, providing credit cards for e-commerce exporters and making other financial arrangements to overcome the lack of cash faced by exporters. Similarly, the proposed components under the ‘Export Disha’ scheme include support (about Rs 4000 crore) for compliance of export standards, development of foreign markets (more than Rs 4000 crore), branding, storage for export and logistics and more and more Indian enterprises to integrate capacity building to integrate in global price chains.
