The SFA Championships 2024 continued to thrill on Day 11, with intense clashes across various sports.

New Delhi: The landmark alliance between News9’s one-of-a-kind football talent hunt programme, “Indian Tigers and Tigresses,” and Sports For All (SFA) has grabbed plenty of eyeballs at the ongoing SFA Championships 2024. Young superstars in Hyderabad continue to show huge interest in joining the sporting revolution on the biggest platform in the country.

TV9 Network recently partnered with SFA, one of the biggest grassroots sports development platforms in India, for the “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” campaign. The historic football campaign provides a golden opportunity to young boys and girls (age groups 12 to 14 and 15 to 17) across the country to showcase their talent.

The groundbreaking initiative of the TV9 Network has joined hands with the best in the business including Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, India Football Centre, IFI, BVB, and RIESPO among others, to spot the young talent in the country through a world-class scouting network. The winners will be felicitated in Germany in early 2025.

Thrilling action continues on Day 11

The SFA Championships 2024 continued to thrill on Day 11, with intense clashes across various sports, making for a day full of high-stakes competition. With just three more days to go for the championships to end, athletes are giving it their all to make their school proud.

At Gachibowli Stadium, the Boys U-10 Handball final was a showdown, where Janapriya High School triumphed over Vignan’s Bo Tree School to clinch the title of winner. Meanwhile, Army Public School, Bolarum, took home the gold in the Girls U-14 Volleyball final, delivering a strong performance against Vignan’s Bo Tree School.

The swimming pool witnessed a stellar display from The Creek Planet School, as Harshitha Varma Bhupathiraju and Teja Ram Samineni both claimed gold in the U-16 100m Butterfly Stroke for girls and boys, respectively, showcasing the school’s dominance in the water.

On the basketball court, rounds advanced with the Girls U-14 semifinals and U-18 Round 1, while football enthusiasts saw fierce competition in the Girls U-10 semifinals. Handball kept the excitement going with the Boys U-16 and U-18 semifinal matches.

Over at Sri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium, the action continued with U-17 Girls’ Kabaddi, where teams battled it out in the quarterfinals, adding to the day’s pulse-pounding atmosphere.

As the Championships edge closer to the final days, schools are giving it their all to climb the leaderboard and secure their spot at the top. Vignan’s Bo Tree School from Nizampet retains their top spot as they continue to add medals to their tally.

This year’s Hyderabad edition of the SFA Championships features over 23,000 athletes from 920 schools, competing across 22 sports. The Championships continue until October 28th, creating a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and providing an opportunity for schools to lead the medal tally.
