Rupee vs dollar: With the support of positive domestic stock markets, the rupee rose by 18 paise in early trade on Monday to reach 87.34 against the US dollar. The rupee opened at 87.38 per dollar in the Interbank Forex Exchange Market. Then reached a high level of 87.34 per dollar, which shows an increase of 18 paise in the previous closed price. Meanwhile, the dollar index, showing the US dollar status against 6 major currencies, rose by 0.15 percent to 97.86. The rupee closed at 87.52 against the US dollar on Friday.

International standard Brent crude climbed 0.10 percent to $ 67.80 per barrel. According to the stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) lived on Friday and purely sold shares worth Rs 1,622.52 crore.
