Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia and actor Angad Bedi were suddenly married in the year 2018, which surprised the fans. Both of them got married in a very private ceremony and no one was even aware that this couple is in a relationship. A few months after the wedding, Neha and Angad welcomed their daughter Meher. As soon as this news came to light, various things started happening on social media.
Many people raised the question about Neha about how she became pregnant before marriage. People trolling said that “How did the child come in just 6 months?”
In a recent interview to Mid-Day, Neha Dhupia spoke openly on this trolling and criticism. Neha said,
“I married Angad (Bedi) and our daughter Meher was born six months later. But the biggest discussion on our marriage was how the child came in six months? People used to ask – how did this happen?”
Neha further said that even today such things happen and people target female actors. He said, “I still look at many stories and tags that are on actresses that become pregnant before marriage. I think at least I am in the list of Nina Gupta and Alia Bhatt. But all these are really absurd things.”
Neha Dhupia also said that due to this backlash she started her initiative ‘Freedom to Feed’, which focuses on pregnancy, breastfeeding and postpartum recovery.
Significantly, Nina Gupta gave birth to daughter Masaba with cricketer Vivian Richards. Alia Bhatt, who started dating Ranbir Kapoor in 2018, got married in April 2022 and welcomed daughter Raha in November the same year.
