Cheap Renault Kiger’s Dhansu Entry, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet will compete

Renault India announced to launch the new Kigar in the market. The prices of Turbo Caiger variants- Techno and Emotion- have been kept between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.29 lakh. More affordable natural aspirated engine variants are available from Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 9.14 lakh. The company said that the new kigar has been developed under Rithink Performance Philosophy.
It has a refined 100 PS turbocharged engine and more than 35 upgrade. Its torque is 160 Nm and mileage is 20.38 kilometers per liter. The refined naturally aspirated engine version gives 72 PS power and 96 Nm torque and is with a mileage of 19.83 km per liter. The new Reno Kiegar will compete with Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet.

Venkataram Mamilpalla, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Renault India, said that we are very happy to present the new kigar, especially in a segment that is growing fastest and which contributes 50 percent in SUV sales and 31 percent in TIV (gross insuranceable price) of the country. The new Kigar has bold front face, new brand identity of Renault, wide stance, extended chin and rear skid graphics. It is available in the seven attractive color palettes, including two new colors – Oasis Yellow and Shadow Gray – existing options Radiant Red, Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver and Stealth Black. It is available in three different driving modes-eco, normal and sports.

Renault India vice -president (sales and marketing) Francisco Hidalgo said Renault Cigar has given a new shape to customers’ expectations with its esthetic design, modern details and bold stance in the compact SUV segment.

The new Kigar now has 6 airbags (front, side and co kept airbags), which are part of 21 Standard Safety features available in all variants. It is also available in manual transmission with retrofitted CNG options, and both are the engine E20 fuel-red. Input agencies edited by: Sudhir Sharma
