Arshdeep singh’s coach: Young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh got a place in Team India for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England, but he was seen sitting on the bench in the entire series. In this five -match Test series, Arshdeep was eligible for selection for four matches.

Despite this, captain Shubman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir did not express confidence in him. Now Punjab team bowling coach Gagandeep Singh has made a big disclosure on this matter. He said that Arshdeep Singh became very restless and desperate during the England tour.

Gagandeep’s big statement about Arshdeep Singh

In a conversation with the Times of India, Gagandeep Singh said, “When he was in England a few months ago, I spoke to him. He was getting restless that he was not getting a chance. I just told him that you have to wait for your time. I think he should have fed in England because he is a swing bowler with long stature. Perhaps the captain and the coach did not trust him.”

Gagandeep further said that Arshdeep Singh can become a better bowler in Test cricket. He said that if he works on his line-length, yorker and bouncers balls, then he can play an important role for Team India in the coming time.

T20 star, but struggle in Test

Arshdeep Singh is considered to be the star bowler of Team India in T20 cricket, but he has not been able to win management’s trust in red ball cricket so far. Gagandeep Singh said that when he started working with the Punjab team, Arshdeep was mostly playing T20 and was more dependent on the bowling away from slow balls and off-stump.

His bowling for red ball cricket was changed. The coach said, “We worked on the status of the wrist to improve their line and length, focus on spot bowling. Thus we ensured that the ball fell on the seam and the natural swing, so that it could prove to be effective in long format.”
