‘Tere Liye Princess Launga’, Superstar Father becomes a villain of actor son’s love story

There are many love stories in Hindi cinema, which have never been completed. Sometimes in this love story, someone became the third and sometimes his own villain. The ‘Love Story’, released in the 80s, also happened overnight with Vijayata Pandit, who became a star overnight. Vijayta Pandit fell in love with the film’s hero i.e. Kumar Gaurav while working in this film and Kumar Gaurav also gave him his heart. However, actor’s superstar father Rajendra Kumar became a hurdle in his love story. Rajendra Kumar did not accept the relationship with son Kumar Gaurav’s Vijayata Pandit, due to which the relationship broke up.

Vijayata Pandit became a star from debut film itself

Vijayta Pandit became everywhere with her debut in 1981 and became the first choice of filmmakers, but her career was ruined by superstar’s son in love. This was revealed by Vijayta Pandit himself. Talking with the waves retro, Vijayta Pandit had told how Kumar Gaurav had married Sanjay Dutt’s sister Namrata Dutt by breaking the relationship with Raj Kapoor’s daughter Reema and cheating on her too.

I will bring princess for you

Vijayata Pandit spoke on his love story with the actor and said- ‘He was the first boy I hugged. This experience was completely new to me. We both fell in love. The film went on shooting in Kashmir for 3 months and Kumar Gaurav was very attracted to me. He lived behind me, but the situation was a bit different for me, because my sister lived with me. My sister used to refuse me to talk to him, yet I fell in love with him. However, his father Rajendra Kumar was against it. He did not like this, due to which there was a lot of fighting between the two. Rajendra Kumar said to Kumar Gaurav- I will bring you a princess. ‘

Got engaged between love story

Vijayata Pandit further said- ‘Rajendra Kumar and Raj Kapoor had already been talked about that both would marry Reema and Gaurav. Our relationship was going on and in the meantime Gaurav and Reema got engaged. I too was dressed in her engagement. I saw a big diamond ring in his hand and said- Bunty (Kumar Gaurav) This ring is very beautiful, hearing this, he got angry and took off the ring in front of Reema and said that if you do not like it, I will not wear it. During that time Reema was also standing with us. I said, it is going crazy and I left from there.

Used to come home even after engagement

Vijayata Pandit also claimed in his interview that Kumar Gaurav used to come to meet him even after his engagement with Reema. He said- ‘He used to come to my house even after the engagement, on which my father was very angry. He explained to Kumar Gaurav that he should not come here, because you are engaged to Raj Kapoor’s daughter. Bunty said- I am engaged, but I will marry Vijayata. He vowed in front of my mother that he would marry me and after a few days it came to know that he had an affair with Namrata Dutt. According to Vijayata, he had no hand in breaking the engagement of Kumar Gaurav and Namrata Dutt. He also claimed that after a film, he did not get any work due to Rajendra Kumar.
