On this day people buy large number of vehicles, electronic products and gadgets. However, this time Ganesh Chaturthi is not showing enthusiasm among the people like every time.

Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced GST reform from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15 and it proposes to increase two rates of GST to 5% and 18%. The proposal of the center to eliminate 12% and 28% GST slab has also been approved. This will reduce the prices of many items including cars, more than 32 inches of TV in the coming time. People are also waiting for the government’s decision. It is being said that the Center aims to implement GST rate cuts before the Dussehra-Diwali festival. In such a situation, people have posted their plan to buy expensive items in the festive season.

Accountant Anil Jaiswal, who is planning to buy 52 inch TVs on Ganesh Chaturthi, has decided that he will take TV only after the government’s decision on GST. He said that this is currently imposed 28 percent GST on this. If it is reduced to 18 percent, then they will get 10 percent benefit. Also, festive discounts will be found separately.

Similarly, the software engineer Ravi Gupta, who is planning to build a house, has also carried forward his plan for some time. He says that this step of the government will reduce cement prices significantly.
